Warrior - Chapter Seventy

Boys... no matter what, they're such fucking boys!

Like you know we ladies take some time, getting dressed and finessed, so can you please calm down? Both of you?

But no, Akash Singh Raizada and NK Singh Raizada felt the need to tease their bhabi about how long she was taking. But all of that came to a quick halt when I came downstairs, wearing a champagne colored mini dress, clutch in hands, diamonds dripping down my ears and neck, my hair up high in a ponytail, my makeup looking absolutely fierce.

"Damn Bhabi, who you tryna kill," Akash gaped.

"Lucky for Nanav he's not here, or he would've collapsed for sure," NK blinked.

Really? You have to mention him? Although, in my opinion, Arnav Singh Raizada probably would've turned into a tomato first, before anything else.

Insert giggling behind my hand emoji here.

🤭

Perfect!

A loud gasp filled the air. "Oh my gosh!"

Turning around, the three of us saw Shalini and Varsha Singh Raizada, the two looking absolutely starstruck by the sight of me.

"You look beautiful," Varsha continued.

"Oh, give me a twirl," Shalini said, holding her hand out.

Uh, okay, I guess.

Placing my hand in hers, I let her twirl me around.

"You look absolutely stunning," mama in-law beamed.

Not going to lie, I half expected for Shalini and the other elders to have an issue with my short dress - half.

Looks like the other half wins.

"Have lots of fun tonight, don't worry about tomorrow being Monday."

Truth be told, I mostly forgot. "No problem."

Akash, NK, and I headed out, Dev pulling up Akash's BMW. The boys sat in the front while I sat in the back, and Akash drove us off to the club. When we got there, valet parked the car and we skipped the line to get inside.

"Oh, I feel so boujee," I grinned.

"Perks of knowing people," NK winked.

"Shall we," Akash asked.

"We shall," I nodded, and we entered the main floor of the club.

Lights flashed everywhere as the music pumped away. There were swaying bodies all over the dance floor, the strippers working their pole up like it was nothing.

Honestly, I envy them and their strength. Me picking myself up with my own body strength and working a pole? Psht! Bitch, please!

Akash led us through the swarms of people, taking us to a table. Apparently it was some friend's birthday, thus the explanation of a party here. But once the formalities were done with, I didn't care for any of these people.

Truth be told, neither did Akash or NK.

We got ourselves a booth, ordered our drinks, then kicked back.

"How come you two aren't having fun with your friends," I asked.

"We're not really friends," Akash shrugged.

"We just needed an excuse to party," NK grinned.

Ah! Makes sense.

"Besides, this beats staying in at home!"

"I'm sure you'll agree since you're not spending your time thinking about Bhai," Akash smirked.

Tilting my head, I frowned. "Who?"

"Ah! That's more like it!"

Well he didn't get what I was trying to imply, but oh well.

The waitress soon returned with our drinks, no doubt checking the boys out. I mean seriously, I think she's ready to drool!

Once she left, I looked back at the boys. "How come you two are single?"

The boys only shrugged in return as they sipped their drinks, the two drinking bourbon.

"Oh come on! It can't just be nothing. Are you guys at least dating?"

"I was for a while," NK said, "but that died off pretty quickly."

"How come?"

"Not interesting enough."

Not interesting enough or not fun enough," I smirked.

"The first," he chuckled.

"So there was enough of the second?"

"Kinda, but it didn't matter since there wasn't enough of the first."

Fair enough. "Okay, well what about you Akash?"

Akash shrugged in return. "I'm on the same boat as NK; there just aren't that many interesting women. I mean you know how people are in this town."

"Oh boy do I," and swung back my appletini, finishing it.

"There you go; most of the girls end up being like their parents, and given the way how our family is and all of its history, well, none of those girls would fit in. Unfortunately, not all of them are like you," he smirked lightly.

"Oh? Careful Akash, I just might think you have a crush on me."

Akash let out a laugh. "As amazing as you are Bhabi, women older than me is a major turn off."

"Same," NK shrugged.

"Well in that case, what are you guys going to do to find someone that fits your age range and is as interesting as me," I asked.

"I have no clue," Akash said.

"Same," NK nodded. "But in the meantime, I'll choose to have fun!"

"Cheers to that," and the boys clinked their glasses together.

"You guys are gonna sleep around, aren't you," I frowned.

"Oh, Bhabi, you wound me with such cruel words," NK said dramatically, placing his hand over his heart.

Huh?

"I wouldn't say sleep around, per se," Akash said. "If we met someone, then sure, we'd date, but sleeping around isn't really what we do."

Is that so...? "What's your body count," I asked.

Akash frowned as he looked up in thought. "I don't know... three."

"Four for me," NK said.

Wait, what? "You can count that on one hand!"

The boys frowned at me.

"Yeah... so," Akash frowned.

Well, the body count actually isn't that bad. I remember back when I was in high school, some douchebag jerk had bragged to my then-boyfriend how had slept with his tenth chick.

But then again, these boys aren't douchebags.

I shook my head clear. "Never mind, I forgot who I was talking to."

But the boys continued to frown at me.

"I mean come on, you guys are related to Arnav. You two know him better than I do."

"Well, in some ways, sure," Akash shrugged. "And I'm assuming you're implying about Bhai and his choice to...."

"Be a virgin," NK said bluntly.

Akash nudged him, NK scowling back at him.

"Exactly," I said.

No need to beat around the bush; I am the man's wife after all.

Akash let out a sigh. "We've never judged Bhai on his decision to... yeah. Sure, we didn't go down the same path as him, but we also know how to keep it respectable."

Makes sense, though now I'm curious. "Do you three share everything with each other?"

"Not everything," NK replied. "But for the most part, yeah."

"I see.... So do you guys know about how it is between me and him?"

"Uh...."

The boys looked at each other, which made me rather intrigued.

"We don't pry into these personal areas," Akash said.

Oh?

"It's a little too intrusive."

Okay.... "But if you had to assume, what do you think the relationship between me and Arnav is?"

"Well, that you guys are friends," NK said.

Way to hit the nail right on the head!

"It's obvious how much Bhai cares for you - and how you care for him..."

Excuse me?

"...but yeah, you guys look like great friends."

They think I care for Arnav? And that he cares for me in return?

Well Arnav did say that during our phone call but....

Is it really that obvious?

"Why don't we have some fun now," NK asked, rubbing his hands together.

"Yes, please," I agreed. "But first, let's take some shots."

"Now we're talking," Akash grinned.

We called over a waitress, ordered some whiskey shots, quickly downed them, then headed to the dance floor. It was totally crowded - most likely much more crowded than when we first stepped in. We found ourselves some space and started to dance along to the music without any cares. Here and there we would get drinks, at one point getting kinda sloppy. I was a little concerned about how we would get home, but the boys said Dev would be picking us up, so with that worry out of the way, I knocked back many more drinks and danced my heart out.

Finally - a night where my mind isn't clouded, where I'm not asking a gazillion questions like a 5 year old, where I'm not stressing myself out - I mean this is fucking it!

What could possibly go wrong?
